It's not Abberville

Abbeville La. the place we call home it has been 15 months since we lived here and we have had our ups and downs. As of today it is quite cool outside I cant really complain. Had a good day in church Sunday, had the same family come but the Lord really gave me liberty to preach. Sunday night we continualed in our study in Ephiesian chapter 2 it was great. Boy I get all excited just thinking about were I was and were I could've ended up but thank God for his mercy that He loved me despite who I was. You know Abbeville is not that far from were we came from but there are times I think about home. Especially family. My wife and children are so supportive of me and I pray I don't fail them. We both have full time jobs now, she works at Dollar General and I work for Oreilly Autoparts, we both like our jobs but lately my wife's work has been gruelling due to the fact that they are moving to a new store. Working and pastoring are great but I am just happy that my family are behind me. I had a n opportunity to lead my brother to the Lord and that is great because the kid is in church and learning from God through the preaching. I pray he really gets into the messages and have a heart attentive to Gods word. I still remember when I first got saved and I tried talking to him and he would shut me out. It was so hard to see my brother push me away after all we were all we had growing up sometimes. I can go down memory lane and just think of the good and bad things we did. I tried at times talking to him and slam no more, but I thank God the our Lord is a hearing God and heard our prayers and on that hot July Jay got saved. Jay I hope you do what I did lean on the man of God glean from him learn of him see his walk and talk and grow from there. Because he the preacher is living Christlike. I learned alot from my preachers and still till this day grow from knowing my preacher. It is great to grow in Gods grace and to see His blessings come. Since my brother has been saved I have seen that he has been faithful to church. I remember as kids we would go to church and when the people stood we would play with our cars on the seats. We both grew up catholics so in church the people stood often. I would always pray that he would get saved and when he did I could see him win our father to the Lord. My mom before her surgery (heart surgery) made a profession and pray she got in. I believe she did and hey try to convince me otherwise.
