The Foot

Well those that can pray I need you. I went to see a foot Dr. to see what was wrong with my ankles and well I wasn't to happy with the results , but there is an alternative to surgery. You see I was born with high arches and that is not good. Since as long as I can remember every new shoe or boot I would buy it seemed like the sides would swoop out in time. like if I would walk on my sides on purpose. It always bothered me but I would let it go. As the years went on and the weight got healthier it didn't help. My ankles always hurt and it would get swollen. I thought it was because I broke my ankles before but it turned out the reason I sprained easily and broke my ankles was because of the leaning of my feet outside. The Dr. gave me four options and highly recommended to avoid the last. Option 1. Heel lifts and antinflametory pills (which is what I am trying now) also to change my shoes every 4 months. Option 2. heel lifts and have regular injections on my ankles, (I don't like that because in time it gets ugly in side). Option 3. surgery on my foot to remove or grind off bone spurs, I have a bunch of them. And option 4. Complete reconstructive surgery on my feet. He said that he would have to break my feet apart and try to fix it. Which would take alot of time and healing. He said we would want to avoid that but he would have to if needed. I believe this, That it is unfortunate that I have to go through option 1 but through much prayer and supplication God will heal. That is my faith in Him, He is able. If not then that is His will, so please pray for me. And if you have high arches go see a doctor please. you might not hurt now but you will later. Check your shoes how they wear out. if you have new shoes and within 2 weeks you see slopping to the outside see a doctor. The Doctor I saw in Lafayette was awesome. And yes I have to lose weight he really never mentioned it only after I brought it up, only because I was born this way. But being overweight does not help. Please pray for me. Before I end this post I want to say this, You men who are married might say my wife is the best well you are wrong because my wife is the best. As soon as we left there she made sure to buy me 2 new shoes one for church and work and socks. And date them so we can get them changed in four months. She also called the Doctor and bought me another lift and then took me out to eat Chinese, mind you she really don't like Chinese but God saw her today and man she really enjoyed it so much. First time ever. I put this part of the post in bold because I want to let you know that my wife is the best and the only one that has my heart. Every time I am sick she is there, and yes she may joke around and say"Here we go again" she doesn't mean it she loves me. And if you are not married to bad it doesn't get any better than mine

My Laptop on the fritzs

This is the second time my laptop has gotten a virus, and so now I am using this old dinosaur of a computer but hey thank God I got this though. My Pastor gave me this comp. about 3 yrs ago and he had it about 5 yrs and it works great, except I have no sound and it is bad because I like to go and hear preaching and singing on different sites, so that is not good. So if you have an older but newer model I will pray you give it to me. Or just buy me a new one. Soon I will send my laptop to my Brother in Texas to fix again.

What a revival

Last night finished our week long revival with Evangelist Frank Pittman http://www.evangelistfrankpittman.com/Listen.html, and boy last night was for me. Both myself and my wife were moved so much by the message. It just took me back to the first time I ever preached and how nervous I was. It also made me miss pastoring fulltime so much. I pray that in Gods time He will use me again for both His honor and glory.

17 Beautiful Years

Today is our anniversary and today was a good day. Even though we both worked and are now heading to revival an hour from here we couldn't ask for a better day. For lunch we met at a restaurant during my lunch hour and had good fellowship together. I love my wife and I know she loves me. looking forwards to another 17 years.

I Think I will just go Casting

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
the 3 C's in this verse are so simple. And when we don't get it verses 8 and 9 will get us. The first C is Casting: To literally throw. Well what do we throw, Our cares, frettness, anxieties, sorrows, burdens and basically all of our problems to God. The second C was care and the 3rd C is Because He Cares for you and me, that is who are all saved. You see you might ask me to pray for you, and mind you that is biblical because we are to pray for one another, but to be honest...Now wait I am asking you this question you that is reading this Blog you will never know what the one asking is really going through. But I know one that does. And He said: for he careth for you. Now go get your bible and read 1 Peter 5:8,9. If you cant learn to do verse 7 Were is your hope.

The flight

The most beautiful bird God created was the Bald Eagle. So majestic in flight. It is probably why the Lord likened us to eagles when we wait upon Him.Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Even eagles have predators but the advantage is that when they are chased they immediately fly towards the sun, they unlike others bird have a shield over their eyes that protect their site. The higher they go the other bird eventually quit chasing. We too when it all seems like all is lost and the enemy is getting close we too can go to the SON. It is so good to be saved and know it.

Just a thought

If you feel led to use this outline you can. I want to one day add a link to all my outlines one day for help in studying or use.

The message the Lord woke me up to this morning

This is the message the Lord gave me to preach this morning:
Psalms 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Commit: llg galal gaw-lal'
1. a primitive root; to roll (literally or figuratively):--commit, remove, roll (away, down, together), run down, seek occasion, trust, wallow.
One of the things in our lives we are missing today is commitment to the Lord.
a. Commitment in service
b. Commitment in prayer
c. Commitment in witnessing
d. Commitment reading bible (help me Lord)
e. Commitment in family
f. Commitment in work
We are to be responsible for our actions. What we do ultimately affects the next step in our lives.
That word commit in our verse is to literally roll to Him. (ill. With chair)
When you commit to the Lord you will have you will have what you desire.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
That word diligently means to:
ekzhtew ekzeteo ek-zay-teh'-o
from 1537 and 2212; to search out, i.e. (figuratively)investigate, crave, demand, (by Hebraism) worship:--en- (re-)quire, seek after (carefully, diligently).
a. To search out
b. Investigate
c. Worship
d. Seek after (carefully)
James 4:2…. yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3: Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
How and why we commit to God He knows our hearts.
Our ways are to be towards the Lord, which is His Desire for His children.
What did we do or do to our children when they don’t do as they are told? Well that’s what God wants from us!
Commit - All thy cares and business, and necessities, commend to God by fervent prayer.
How do I commit to God? In prayer.
James 5:16 …… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
That word fervent means: energew energeo en-erg-eh'-o from 1756; to be active, efficient:--do, (be) effectual (fervent), be mighty in, shew forth self, work (effectually in).
In prayer this is what you literally do:
Ps 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Pr 16:3
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Php 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Jas 4:15
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Honestly how would you like to do this or that? Well without commitment you cant.
The Treasury of DavidPs 37:5
EXPOSITION
Ver. 5. Commit thy way unto the Lord. Roll the whole burden of life upon the Lord. Leave with Jehovah not thy present fretfulness merely, but all thy cares; in fact, submit the whole tenor of thy way to him. Cast away anxiety, resign thy will, submit thy judgment, leave all with the God of all. What a medicine is this for expelling envy! What a high attainment does this fourth precept indicate! How blessed must he be who lives every day in obedience to it! Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Our destiny shall be joyfully accomplished if we confidently entrust all to our Lord. We may serenely sing --
"Thy way, not mine, O Lord, However dark it be; O lead me by thine own right hand, Choose out the path for me."
"Smooth let it be or rough, It will be still the best; Winding or straight, it matters not, It leads me to thy rest."
"I dare not choose my lot, I would not if I might; But choose Thou for me, O my God, So shall I walk aright."
"Take thou my cup, and it With joy or sorrow fill; As ever best to thee may seem, Choose thou my good and ill."
The ploughman sows and harrows, and then leaves the harvest to God. What can he do else? He cannot cover the heavens with clouds, or command the rain, or bring forth the sun or create the dew. He does well to leave the whole matter with God; and so to all of us it is truest wisdom, having obediently trusted in God, to leave results in his hands, and expect a blessed issue.
And he shall bring it to pass - Hebrew, "He shall do it." That is, He will bring it to a proper issue; He will secure a happy result. He will take care of your interests, and will not permit you to suffer, or to be ultimately wronged.
Trust God, and he will work for thee.
Do not be led by your own wisdom, but obey God and he will finish his work in you.
as he does whatever he has appointed and determined shall be, and whatever he has promised, and whatever will be for his own glory and his people's good.
trust . . . in him--literally, "on Him." He will do what you cannot (compare Ps 22:8; 31:6). He will not suffer your character to remain under suspicion.

RSS

When I first got hired at Orielly Auto Parts I thought," Well I did want to work at one in Texas", but I didn't know how hard it would be. I even felt like quiting the first week. The main reason was because I know nothing about fixing cars or know nothing about part description. I never knew that there were so many names. It was frustrating but I kept at it My wife and I would pray and God help tremendously. I stuck it out and now I know alot more than I would've thought to ever know. I am getting to the point were I know the exact part for a car without looking in computer. Well 2 weeks ago my boss ask if I would take the night manager position, and well I thought why not. So they did a back ground check on me and after 2 weeks of waiting yesterday I was Promoted to Retail Sales specialist. Pretty good for somebody who knows nothing. I still got alot to know about parts, everyday I learn something new. Things have been going good down here and it is good to be appreciated. 3 weeks ago one of my customers offered me a job at his diesel parts store and offered me $17.00 dollars an hour but did not get no peace. The money would have been great, but I was afraid that the money would have controlled me and decisions I would have to make. After my boss told me yesterday of my promotion I told him I will be moving soon and his response was very reassuring because though he doesn't want to lose me he said he would train me well and give me a good recommendation and work hard at getting me into a store by transfer. I have a great boss. But how wonderful to know we serve a Great God. Who provides all the time. You see this promotion helps me in my resume for a transfer. Oh still no word on my Jacket that is Leather Jacket. Oh my enormous head.

THE PREACHER'S GAIN

Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
For to me to live is Christ - Whether I live or die, Christ is gain to me. While I live I am Christ's property and servant, and Christ is my portion; if I die - if I be called to witness the truth at the expense of my life, this will be gain; I shall be saved from the remaining troubles and difficulties in life, and be put immediately in possession of my heavenly inheritance. As, therefore, it respects myself, it is a matter of perfect indifference to me whether I be taken off by a violent death, or whether I be permitted to continue here longer; in either case I can lose nothing.

To me to live is Christ, and to die is gain; that is, If I live, Christ shall be the scope of my life, and the end of my living; I resolve to live to his service; if I die, death will be a real gain and advantage to me; intimating, that both life and death are gain to a good man, and that it is Christ that makes both life and death gainful and advantgeous. To me to live is Christ, to die is gain. Words both short and sweet, few in expression, but large in extension: in them we are taught both how to live, and how to die.
How are you living for the Lord?
